“Bragg Curve” is a marimba solo piece. The title “Bragg Curve” refers to one of the phenomena in physics, “Bragg’s Law”. It ionizes atoms of the material and deposits a dose along its path. A peak occurs because the interaction cross-section increases as the charged particle’s energy decreases. The energy lost by charged particles is inversely proportional to the square of their velocity, which explains the peak occurring just before the particle comes to a complete stop, followed by a “Bragg Curve,” showing the exhaustion and cessation of kinetic energy. Therefore, this piece is full of many motives (kinetic energy) that continue to advance and alternately transform into different forms, gradually pushing the music to its peak.
